Keep your Elders Moving During the Winter

Cold weather tends to take a toll on everyone. The time changes and get darker sooner, it is too cold to spend time outside, the couch becomes comfier each day. There is nothing wrong with taking it easy during the Winter and enjoying the holidays; however, keep your elders moving. They need to continue getting exercise to stay in the best condition they can at their point of life. Here are a few tips on motivating your elders to get moving during the cold months!
1- Senior Center Activities.

There are a lot of programs that your elder can get involved in at the Senior Center. They even provide transportation! Motivate them to make friends and get involved.

2- Silver Sneakers.

This program is fun and made just for Senior Citizens. Men and women are lead by an instructor through a 30 minute exercise class, usually based around sitting in a chair. It will get the blood moving, muscles working, and keeping elders in shape.
